Xiaomi has just unveiled its new high-performance smartphone in China, the REDMI K90 Ultra, an upgraded version of the recently launched REDMI K90 Max. Inside its IP69-certified body, it now features a Qualcomm SoC with a cooling fan, an AI chip called D2 to enhance graphics in games, and speakers developed in collaboration with Bose.
Its display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772×1280 pixels, peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. Powering the device is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Octa-Core processor, which, being manufactured on a 3-nm process, will provide high energy efficiency. This new device is available in several configurations, featuring 12/16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256/512 GB of high-speed UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, it features a 50 MP main OIS sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 20 MP front-facing camera. It also includes 5G connectivity with dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an IR blaster, NFC, and GPS, among other features. The battery is a generous 8550 mAh and supports 100 W fast charging, and for audio, there are two speakers by BOSE.
Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 UI, and the company promises long-term updates.
