The new REDMI Smart TV A50 has been unveiled in China—a product with impressive features for the price—and we hope it will reach Western markets in the future.
For now, this new TV is only available on the Xiaomi Youpin store, but as with previous Xiaomi TVs, we may see it appear in the West soon. As we can see, it features a screen with very narrow bezels, a sleek design, and metallic accents around the edges. Notable features include a 144 Hz refresh rate— ideal for gaming—and very low power consumption of just 75W, as indicated by its Level 1 energy efficiency certification in China.
This TV runs on Android TV, but the Chinese version. As with the brand’s TV boxes, it features a highly customized OS for that market; if it makes it here, it will have standard Google TV.
