It has just been presented in China the new Redmi Watch 4, a smartwatch that comes with the newly launched Xiaomi HyperOS system and many new features.
Its design is quite continuing lines, with a body made of steel and aluminium, although now a side crown replaces the button we had on the Redmi Watch 3, giving it a more classic touch. The AMOLED screen grows to 1.97 inches and NFC is also included, although we will have to wait for the global version for this feature to be functional in the West.
The battery also seems to give an important leap forward, since the brand ensures that its consumption has been reduced by 25% compared to the previous model. We continue to have in the Redmi Watch 4 an autonomous GPS, and speaker and microphone, with which we can make and receive calls if we have it synchronized with our Smartphone. A new step forward in the Redmi Watch family that as always has a fairly contained price.
Specifications of the Redmi Watch 4
The new Redmi Watch 4 has a rectangular body with a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and refresh rate of 60 Hz. This gives us a screen size larger than its predecessor by 26%. This display features a maximum brightness of 600 nits, ambient light sensor and 5 ATM water resistance certification.
In terms of sensors, this new smartwatch features enhanced capability to measure heart rate, blood oxygenation, sleep, sedentary and stress. The Redmi Watch 4 measures up to 150 sports activities, includes a GPS to monitor our position at all times and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
The Redmi Watch 4 also has a microphone and speaker for phone calls, so we can answer and listen to them in real time. Internally, we have a 470 mAh battery capacity, which gives us an autonomy of approximately 20 days with normal use, but is considerably reduced if we activate the GPS.
