Great price on AliExpress Black Friday for the M17 nostalgic console that surprises for its ability to move many emulators.
The system included in the M17 retro console is EmuELEC 4.3, currently locked, and the hardware of this console seems to be able to easily move the included emulators up to PS1 and Dreamcast as well as many other 8 and 16-bit consoles. N64 and PSP games can be run, although downscaling will be necessary. The design is quite compact considering it is a cheap console with a 4.3-inch screen, as it even includes 4 triggers.
Another very interesting alternative for its price that allows us to play a wide range of emulators and games thanks to EmuELEC and also has some pretty decent controls.
M17 console specifications
The M17 retro console includes a low power consumption ARM Quad Core SoC of which we only know that it has ARM Cortex-A7 processors that reach up to 1.2 Ghz speed.
This console has 2 GB of RAM DDR3 and comes with a 64/128 GB micro SD that is used to store the EmuELEC 4.3 system and its games, as standard it comes with 20,000 / 30,000 depending on the version we buy. We recommend backing up the SD card before doing anything, just in case.
Screen and other notable features
The screen is a 4.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480×272 pixels. The internal battery is of a good capacity, with2000 mAh capable of lasting between 3 and 4 hours and that we can recharge through its USB Type-C port.
The connectors we find are a 3.5 mm audio jack, a micro SD memory card reader and a USB Type-C for recharging. For audio, we have a single speaker, so it will be better to use headphones.
