Product Details

The bracelet of the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W has a classic design following the lines of this type of products, simple shapes and strap completely made of silicone that has a closure system by means of two clips. In the front screen we have a touch button that allows you to change between the functions of the menus.

The screen, in an elongated form, is a 0.96″ OLED with a resolution of 128×64 pixels that can be read indoors correctly, outdoors with a lot of light is somewhat harder to read, a screen size much larger than the of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 and with more resolution, a positive point of this bracelet, a bracelet quite comfortable to wear.

Disassembling the core of the bracelet we can see the USB connector integrated into the body’s own plastic mold, in this model we have IP68 certification and it works perfectly in our wet tests.

DEVICE MANAGEMENT AND CONFIGURATION

Frontal Screen

If we turn on the main screen of the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W wristband we have all the basic information, we can directly access its functions using his touch button on the front. In the watch we have battery indicator, date and a Bluetooth connection icon if we are linked with our mobile. The wristband also gives us incoming call alerts with the contact’s name, whatsapp, alarm and alarm announcements, all with vibration. If we leave the button pressed, we access the menu to start a physical activity or turn off the wristband completely.

If we press the button one time we go to sport mode, pedometer, heart rate monitor and programmed alarms. By default the screen turns on automatically when it detects that we turn the hand to look at it since it has a gyroscope although it can be deactivated. If we leave the button pressed on the front of the screen in sport mode, we get a meter from the sports session.

Control app

It is possible to control the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W bracelet by installing the remote control app for Android or iOS from the official stores of these devices. In the first screen we have three panels with basic and detailed information. We have a panel dedicated to cardiac measurement that by default is done every 15 min if we want. To use this app we have to create a user account that will save our data in the cloud.

  • This model is NOT compatible with Google Fit
  • It has support to unlock phones with Smart Lock
  • DO NOT link the bracelet with the Bluetooth of the smartphone, link it using the app

Another panel monitors the sleep in its different phases and shows us a graph with all the details of the process.

A final panel measures general activity and also has access to monitor a sports session for a period of time

Within the settings area we have several options that give us access to our personal settings, bracelet settings, alarm and hardware data. Within the option of our user profile we will put our physical data and the objective of movement that we want to achieve daily.

In the menu of the smartbracelet Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W we have options for reminders, find the phone, screen orientation, software update or reset. We also have the option of configuring the reminder system for certain apps, some of the options we had in the previous model such as the remote camera trigger are missing, they are supposed to be added in the future.

Cardio sensor

On the back of the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W we have a heart rate sensor that works correctly for what we have been able to check. We can run a punctual measurement from the device itself, from the app or schedule it so that it takes a specific measurement from time to time, something that is useful for monitoring.

Battery

Installed in the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W bracelet we have a lithium battery of 85 mAh that gives us a very good autonomy, in a moderate use of the screen (we recommend deactivating the automatic ignition when turning the wrist) it can last us perfectly 12 days with a single charge and the recharge is about one hour on a PC. The control app does not involve problems in the battery of our mobile so we have checked.

CONCLUSIONS

Opinion

After the review and using the smartband for a week we can say that the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W bracelet has some very interesting features for the price, an improved version of the previous Lenovo Smart Bracelet HW01 and a good rival against the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 The autonomy is very good although it is still far from the Xiaomi model and is not compatible with Google Fit. The heart sensor has given us correct results in daily use, in sport session and in sleep measurement without problems.

The software of the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W for what we have checked does not cause problems in our mobile and we also have it in other languages. Another interesting point of this bracelet is its design with a large screen that does not affect the battery consumption, the compact mold with integrated USB makes the IP68 protection very resistant. In general, a recommendable product if we are looking for an economic and very resistant bracelet.
