RKM DS02 a Box with Android and 4G-LTE modem for digital signage

Today it is time to present a novelty from the oriental brand RKM, this time we have a Box with Android focused exclusively on the digital signage sector, for which this brand has developed its new RKM DS02.

A Box that arrives to favor its cooling in a metal box and with a firmware where we have options of screen rotation and automatic on / off, among others widely used in the digital signage sector. We also have the option of using a 4G-LTE modem to not depend on WiFi networks and on its motherboard we also have different PIN connectors to use touch panels, among others.

SoC, RAM and storage

Inside the Box RKM DS02 we find the RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. It also has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader on the back.

Other specs

Network connectivity this TV-Box includes WiFi aC with an external antenna and a Gigabit network connector, optionally we can replace the WiFi module with a 4G-LTE modem with a slot for microSIM cards. On the back of the box we have all the connectors with 2 USB 2.0 ports, a microUSB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack and an HDMI 2.0a port. Finally comment that the OS is Android 7.1 and includes an infrared remote control among the accessories.

  • The Box RKM DS02 will be on sale soon in the official RKM Aliexpress.com store, although at the moment we do not know its price.
