Rikomagic continues adding references to its line of projectors with Android, this time with the new RKM R5. A very compact projector, only 114x114x29mm and less than 1kg of weight that draws attention to include a touchpad to control it at the top. The included system, Android 7.1.2, is quite modern for what we usually see in this type of projectors.
The resolution of this DLP projector stays 854 x 480 pixels, the contrast is 500:1 and the brightness is 150 ANSI lumens. The focus is manual, it has automatic trapezoidal correction and we can get a screen between 40 and 300 inches. It also includes an internal 4000 mAh battery and an integrated 3w speaker.
The RKM R5 includes the well-known Rockchip RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and as a graphics core a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video with support for HLG HDR. We also found 2GB of DDR4 RAM, 16GB of eMMc storage memory, Bluetooth 4.0 and Dual Band WiFi with internal antenna. As connectivity we have a USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 port, microSD card reader, audio jack and an HDMI 1.4 video input.
As for accessories includes an IR remote control and a small tripod in addition to the typical cables.
