New plate that will arrive to stores soon based on the powerful RK3399 SoC of Rockchip by Radxa with its new Rock Pi 4. A compact plate that has a format compatible with Raspberry Pi which will allow us to use a large number of accessories that we can find in multiple stores at a good price and that are ideal for the development in its many facets.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Rock Pi 4 SoC Hex Core Rockchip RK3399, with a cluster with two ARM Cortex-A72 processors capable of reaching 2.0Ghz and another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 processors while at the GPU level it has one Mali -T860mp4 with support for codec decoding H.26 / H.264 and VP9 4K @ 60fps among others. We also have 1/2/4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, eMMc memory connector, microSD card reader and an M.2 connector where we can connect an NVME SSD.
Other specifications
As for ports the options are multiple since we have 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 Type-C, HDMI 2.0a output, Gigabit Ethernet , 3.5mm audio jack and a 40 GPIO connector pins among others. We also have a B version of this PCB that integrates WiFi aC, Bluetooth 5.0 with integrated antenna and Gigabit Ethernet with PoE support.
In this PCB is still in development and so it seems may run Android 9.0 and various distributions of Linux. More information on its official website.
