Realtek is working without pause in its new SOC oriented to the TV-Box sector and recently has just presented its new RTD1395, a SoC that includes HVEC support 4K@60fs, VP 9.2, H .264, HDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, Technicolor Prime and audio certification Dolby MS12 v1.3 Config A among others. This new SoC is compatible with Android TV 8.1 although it is expected to have Android TV 9.0 certification in a few weeks, it also supports RDK-V.
RTD1395 is a Quad Core SoC with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-470mp4 GPU that we assume is a faster version of the popular Mali-450. It also includes native support for DDR4 RAM and some type of DRM certification although it is not clear at the moment. The consumption of this model is very low because it can be powered by a 5V 1A charger, which allows you to use some of the ports in our TV.
- We hope to see the SoC of Realtek RTD1395 in a month or two in the market, in fact there is already some sample in the IBC fair.
