RX3-UL new low-end Smart Box with RK3328 SoC and 4 / 32GB


New Smart Box that we find in the catalogues of Chinese online stores with the name of RX3-UL and that as is the most common is framed within the cheap range that is around $35.

A Box based on the Rockchip RK3328 Quad Core SoC and that comes with a base configuration with 4 GB of RAM that allows us to use it fluently as a 4K UHD media player with KODI. An interesting point of this Box is the inclusion of storage memory of the eMMc 5.0 type, quite fast and rare in these cheap players. The OS is Android 9.0 and it comes with a basic remote control to be able to use it from the first moment.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart Box RX3-UL is powered by the Rockchip RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450 MP2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. It has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc 5.0 storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included micro SD card reader.

Other specs

The wireless connectivity of this TV-Box is dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 with internal antenna. On the sides of the box with front display we find a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, SPDIF digital audio output, an IR port extender, AV output connector and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows you to get up to 4K @ 60fps video resolutions.
