Samsung Exynos 880 a new SoC with 5G for the mid-range

Samsung is not going to be left behind in the 5G race and has just presented its new SoC for the mid-range called Exynos 880, a product that we will see without a doubt in many of its Smartphone soon.

A SoC manufactured in 8nm FinFet with few new features inside, except its modem with 5G connectivity and destined to compete with the new additions of Qualcomm and Mediatek in the mid-range with 5G and which falls below the Exynos 980.

Specifications

The Samsung Exynos 880 SoC is an Octa Core that includes 2 ARM Cortex-A77 processors capable of reaching 2.0Ghz + 6 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that can reach 1.8Ghz. The GPU is a Mali-G76mp5 with support for Full HD + screens (2520 × 1080) and we also have a NPU for AI.

We also found compatibility for LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.1 and eMMC 5.1 storage, GPS and FM Radio. A connectivity level includes WiFi aC, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 5G / 4G modem that reaches download speeds of 2.55Gbps and upload of 1.28Gbps. As for cameras we find support for a 64MP camera or a simultaneous configuration of up to 20MP + 20MP.

Availability

  • The Samsung Exynos 880 SoC will arrive on the market in a few weeks on the ViVo Y70s terminal.
