After months of rumors and leaks has already been presented the new most powerful SoC Samsung called Exynos 9810. A SoC manufactured in 10nm FinFET that adapts to the new times and incorporates new hardware and software in fields such as the artificial intelligence or advanced processing of images that will facilitate for example facial recognition in 3D. Obviously this SoC will be inside the next Samsung Galaxy S9, which we hope to see at the next MWC 2018 in Barcelona fighting against the new high-end Qualcomm SoC the Snapdragon 845.
Samsung Exynos 9810 is an Octa Core that uses “custom” cores from Samsung itself, based on the architecture of ARM and distributed in a pair of clusters, the most powerful of which reaches 2.9 GHz. The improvement in performance of This new SoC compared to the previous one is quantified by Samsung itself by 40%, undoubtedly a figure inflated for advertising reasons. We do not know anything about the integrated GPU however we know the inclusion of a Cat.18 modem that can reach maximum download speeds of 1.2 Gbps and 200 Mbps upload. Photography and image has a very important place in this new SoC and is that it includes video stabilization and 4K video playback capacity up to 120 fps, support for VP9 codecs, 10-bit HEVC and improvements in low light photography among others.
