Samsung has just presented its new high-end Samsung Exynos 990 SoC designed to dress the next flagship terminal of this Koreana brand. A SoC that is manufactured in 7nm LPP EUV, which is made of cores modified by Samsung and is a cutting edge piece for its support for LPDDR5 RAM or the inclusion of a next-generation ARM Mali-G77 GPU.
This SoC does not have an integrated modem due to the size of the new 5G modem, although it has been presented together with the Exynos Modem 5123 that includes how it could not be otherwise 5G connectivity, which can reach download speeds of up to 7.35Gbps, an excellent couple for the new Samsung Exynos 990. Also significant his dual NPU and the new DSP with a computing power that reaches 10 TOPS, when the Exynos 9825 was only 1.86 TOPS.
The Samsung Exynos 990 SoC is an Octa Core that includes 2 new Exynos M5 + 2 ARM Cortex-A76 + 4 ARM Cortex-A55 CPUs accompanied by an ARM Mali-G77 MP11 GPU. As we have already mentioned, it includes support for LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 and 2.1 storage as well as support for 4K screens.
The photographic aspect is also very powerful since it can handle cameras in dual configuration of up to 24.8MP + 24.8MP in simultaneous and in single mode of up to 108MP. We also have video capture and decode modes up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps.
