Samsung Exynos5 7872 Hexa Core more options for the mid-range

Samsung has introduced its new Exynos5 7872 SoC a chip oriented to mid-range smartphones with almost high-end features and that has been released in the new Meizu M6s. A new Samsung Chip that is manufactured in 14nm FinFET, something that will undoubtedly be noticed in consumption and performance. A Chip that will have to compete agains the Snapdragon 670 and 640 soon, that we remember will be manufactured in 10nm and theorically will be much more powerful.

Exynos5 7872 Samsung

Samsung Exynos5 7872 includes a pair of clusters, the first for high performance incorporates two ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz while the second incorporates four ARM Cortex-A53 cores that reach 1.6 Ghz. The GPU in this case is a MALI-G71mp1 that reaches 1.2 Ghz. Includes support for LPDDR3 RAM and eMMc 5.1 storage. It also includes WiFi Dual Band, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS and Modem 4G-LTE with maximum download speed of 300 Mbps and 150 Mbps for upload. The maximum screen resolution is 1920 × 1200 pixels and supports up to 21.7 MP resolution cameras on the front and back.

Samsung Exynos 7872 comes with support for Android 7.0 but no doubt will soon receive Android 8 Oreo.
