Shuttle presents a new passive Barebone called Shuttle DS10U Slim PC, a compact miniPC compatible with Intel Core processors of the 8th generation Coffee Lake. As for specifications, this barebone is interesting and stands out for its ability to support several disks since we can mount an M.2 SSD and a 2.5″ SATA disk. We also have two video outputs with support for up to resolutions 4K@60fps that can simultaneously connect to two monitors.
Processors, RAM and storage
The Shuttle DS10U Slim PC is compatible with 8th generation Intel processors, the default processor is the Intel Celeron 4205U with consumption up to 15W TPD and optionally Intel Core i3-8145U / i5-8265U / i7-8565U processors with a TDP of up to 25W , in the graphic section we have an integrated Intel Ultra HD Graphics 610/620 GPU. Within this miniPC we have 2 slots for DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM modules where we can install up to a total of 32GB of RAM, an M.2 2242/2260/2280 Type-M disk slot, a SATA III connector where we can install a 2.5″ SATA SSD and an SD card reader on the front.
Other specifications
The connectivity options of the Shuttle DS10U Slim PC despite its size are wide and internally we have an M.2 port for M.2 2230 Type-E cards while on the front of the box we find 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.1 , SD reader and 2 3.5mm audio jacks. The bulk of the connectors are located at the rear with a COM port, 2 Gigabit network connectors, HDMI 2.0 4K@60fps video output, DisplayPort 1.2 output, VGA port, antenna connectors and external BIOS reset. This model is compatible with VESA support and has multiple options for remote or programmed power-on.
