We found in stores a peculiar tablet PC called SZBOX S72, one of the few with a low-power AMD processor.
Inside this tablet we find installed the AMD Athlon Gold 7220U processor, a low power Dual Core. This APU has an interesting AMD Radeon 610M GPU of the RDNA 2 generation, somewhat better than the Intel HD Graphics of its Intel rivals in this price range. Otherwise, it also stands out for its ultra slim aluminum design and the 14″ QHD IPS display, which can work quite well for working with all kinds of Windows apps.
In addition, we have Wifi 6 connectivity and two full USB-C 3.1 ports that allow fast charging, DP video output and fairly fast data transfers.
SZBOX S72 Specifications
In the SZBOX S72 we find as engine an AMD Athlon Gold 7220U processor manufactured in 6 nm and with a maximum power consumption of 15 W, too bad it is not the more powerful AMD Ryzen 3 7320U. This chip is a Dual Core with four threads and a speed between 2.4 and 3.7 GHz. The iGPU is an AMD Radeon 610M with RDNA 2 technology that reaches a speed of up to 1900 MHz. A processor sufficient for desktop use, web browsing, light gaming and design applications without heavy loads.
In the available version the RAM memory is 12 GB LPDDR5. For storage we have a 512 GB M.2 SSDthat can be replaced by removing the back.
Display and other specifications
The new SZBOX S72 has a 14-inch IPS touch screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels that allows us to use any app with clarity. To be able to make video calls we have a fairly basic 2 MP front camera, next to it we also have a microphone for audio. We have four 1 W speakers on the perimeter that are certainly not of the highest quality.
In terms of connectivity, it includes Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 thanks to an internal adapter. For connectivity we find 2 USB-C ports, with fast charging system PD up to 60 W. We also have a magnetic connector for an optional keyboard. The battery is 7.6 V 6000 mAh with an autonomy that reaches 5 hours.
