T95 MAX Plus another new Chinese box with S905X3 SoC and classic design

The new Smart Boxes equipped with the new AMlogic S905X3 SoC continue to arrive in Chinese stores, which we expect to see sent later this month. Today’s Chinese box that assembles the new Amlogic chip is called T95 MAX Plus and apart from its box design it provides little with respect to the rest of the Boxes that we have seen in its range with the new Amlogic SoC as an engine, which we remember which is an improved version of the Amlogic S905X2.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart TV Box T95 MAX Plus includes the new AMlogic S905X3 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 12nm that reaches up to 1.9 GHz speed and integrates a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. This SoC has 4 ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and also an NPU for iA. The VPU is an Amlogic Video Engine 10 with HDR Dolby Vision optional, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and PRIME HDR among others. This Box is available in versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the included microSD card reader.

Other specifications

At the wireless connectivity level we find Wifi aC Dual Band and Bluetooth 4.1 for both versions with 4GB of RAM and only WiFi b/g/n without Bluetooth for the model with 2GB of RAM. The connectors included in the plastic box are not many because it has a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, a 10/100 Ethernet connector, an analog AV interface and an HDMI 2.1 video output. The operating system is Android 9.0 and a basic IR remote control is included.

Price and availability

  • The T95 MAX Plus TV-Box can be purchased on Aliexpress.com only for $31.59 (€28.74) with free shipping in its basic version with 2/16GB, we recommend the 4/32GB version to have better wifi.

Hi does this have native full top notification status and bottom navigation bar? My X96 Max Plus has none.

Will you do more advanced tests and a teardown of this tv box?

Sorry, i can’t do test for any low-cost box in the market.
Go for the A95X F3, tested and good.

Hi ! Has anyone else noticed that VPNs wipe the IP network settings whether DHCP or static ?
Only bon I can fix this with is private internet access and even then you have to go into settings and re select DHCP everyone you switch it on ? Pure vpn and surfshark won’t work at all which is pretty shocking really ??

Anyone else ??

If we don’t have published then we don’t have it 🙁
Ask to your shop, they must share with you the firmware download link.
Share the link to help others.
