The Chinese manufacturers are already making new Boxes based on the new Amlogic SoC’s and ready to take advantage of the period of great sales that has the kick-off with the 11.11. T95 X2 is a new Box based on the SoC S905X2 that comes in the typical quadrangular format but this time with some waters at the top where we find a configuration quite similar to the other Box we have seen so far and that is still based on Android 8.1 waiting for the jump to Android P.
SoC, RAM and storage
The T95 X2 TV-Box includes as engine the SoC of AMlogic S905X2 a Quad Core that theoretically reaches up to 2 GHz and integrates a new and powerful GPU Mali-G31 MP2, as a novelty in video playback we have a new VPU with Amlogic Video Engine (AVE) that integrates specific hardware to encode and decode h.265 and VP9 codecs. We have on board 2/4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 32 / 64GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended from the microSD card reader that includes this equipment on one of the sides.
Other specifications
The TV-Box T95 X2 only includes b/g/n Wi-Fi with internal antenna as it does not include bluetooth. In the connectors included in the plastic box we have a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, analog audio and video port, a 10/100 Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.1 video port with 4K @ 60fps support with dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.2.
