It seems that the new SoC of Amlogic S905X2 will get to the market in earnest before the end of the month as we found a new Box called T95Q on Aliexpress.com. The main novelty is the inclusion of Amlogic’s new S905X2 chip, which we hope to test soon and on which there are many expectations. Point out of this TV-Box its circular design, perhaps with a led strip on its perimeter and the 4GB of RAM as standard. The operating system is Android 8.1 although Amlogic will release Android P for the SoC S905X2 used for this box.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TV Box T95Q includes the Amlogic S905X2 SoC a Quad Core that theoretically reaches up to 2GHz and integrates a GPU ARM Mali-G31 MP2 quite more powerful than the classic Mali-450, as a novelty for video playback we have a new VPU with Amlogic Video Engine ( AVE) that integrates specific hardware for coding and decoding. We have 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended from the microSD card reader included in this Box.
Other specifications
The TV-Box T95Q includes wireless connectivity dual band Wifi and bluetooth 4.2. In the connectors included in the plastic box we find a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, analog audio and video output port, a Ethernet Gigabit connector, SPDIF digital audio connector and HDMI 2.0 video output.
The installed system is Android 8.1 in its classic version and we have as standard between the IR remote control accessories.
