We had previously seen the TV-Box T96 Mars that had install by default a low-end RK3229 SoC, now we locate in the stores a new version with the same name but that includes the S905W SoC, also a low-cost. The specifications and external design of this new version of the TV-Box do not vary and it continues to include a fairly basic configuration, although enough for a basic media player to connect a TV with FHD resolution.
SoC, RAM and Storage
T96 Mars includes the low cost SoC of Amlogic S905W, a Quad Core with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of decoding video up to 4K @ 30fps resolutions. On board we found soded 1 / 2GB of RAM and 8 / 16GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended via the microSD card reader that is located on one of the sides of the plastic box.
Other specifications
At the level of wireless connectivity in the T96 Mars we only have wifi b / g / n with internal antenna. At the level of connectors on the sides of the box we do not have much, an interface for HDMI 2.0a video output, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, an analog A / V output and a network connector type RJ45 with 10/100 speed .
