New Smart TV-Box that we find in online stores called Tanix H3 and that calls us for including the new Hisilicon Hi3798M V130 SoC a processor of which we still have little information.
Everything indicates that the Hi3798M V130 is a version of the Hisilicon Hi3798M V200 chip with the GPU cut off and surely in some other aspect that we do not know. We hope that it continues to include one of the best assets of Hisilicon, the Imprex 2.0 image processing engine that adds various adjustments to the image (contrast, brightness, saturation …) and that automatically improves contrast and sharpness, among other aspects. As for the Box little to highlight except the inclusion of Android 9.0 as OS, its ability to play 4k @ 60fps video and that as usual we will not have certificates to see paid streaming services in HD and 4K.
SoC, RAM and Storage
The Tanix H3 is the new Hisilicon Hi3798M V130 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a MALI-450 GPU. We have versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 / 64 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by the microSD card reader that we have on the side of the box.
Other specs
In its plastic box we can see its mobile external antenna for the dual-band Wi-Fi aC module that is complemented by Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The included connectors are 3 USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 network port, SPDIF connector and one HDMI 2.0 port.
