Today we have at minimum price on Gearbest.com the Box Tanix TX3 Max a mediaplayer that we saw in one of our REVIEW and that is also receiving some software update. An interesting box for its price because it includes 2GB of RAM and is indicated to connect to TV with FHD resolution since in 4K mode only reaches 30fps. Note also that this Tanix Android TV-Box is compatible with LibreELEC with a firmware that even has Dual OS.
SoC, RAM and storage
Inside the Tanix TX3 Max we have the S905W SoC from Amlogic, which has four 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and an ARM Mali-450mp5 GPU that natively decodes the most popular video codecs. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage memory eMMc that we can expand using the microSD card reader included in the side of the box.
Other specifications
At connetion level we have Wi-Fi b/g/n with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.1. In terms of connectivity and distributed on the sides of its box we find two USB 2.0 ports, microSD card reader, SPDIF digital audio output, an HDMI 2.0a connector, 10/100 network port and to finalize an analogic AV output.
