The brand Tanix is very active in the sector of TV-Box with Android, now has just presented the specifications of its first foray into the world of Mini PCs with the model called TANIX TX88. A device still without all the final specs but where we highlight the inclusion of a Quad Core processor from the new Intel Gemini Lake family manufactured in 14nm with totally passive ventilation, no noise, something that is always to our liking.
Processor, RAM and storage
At the moment we know that the TANIX TX88 mini PC will include the Intel Celeron N4100 processor, a chip with four x86 cores capable of reaching 2.40 GHz in turbo mode, which includes an Intel UHD Graphics 600 with 12EU GPU that is capable of playing video up to 4K 60fps resolutions. The RAM is 4 GB DDR4 2400Mhz, we assume that it is not expandable, while at the storage level we have 64 GB of storage memory eMMc 5.0. We hope that at least it has an internal port for M.2 SSD drives, but basically it will be a computer fiasco.
TANIX TX88 includes WiFi wireless connectivity dual-band AC with internal antenna and at the port level we can only see that it includes 2 USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader and a Gigabit network connector. We hope it also has an HDMI 2.0 connector that would allow video output up to 4K resolutions at 60fps. Surely the front has a digital microphone to communicate with assistant Cortana.
