If you’re looking for a cheap Android Box for 4K video playback and apps, the TANIX W2 is an option to look out for this Black Friday, as it’s under $19 for its 4/32 GB version.
The TANIX-W2 is a cheap box that uses the AMlogic S905W2 processor and includes Android 11 as its operating system. We have AV1 video decoding up to 4K@60fps resolutions and support for HDR 10 video enhancement technology. Its processor is very interesting within its price range, as you can see in our review of the S905W2 and is especially suitable for multimedia playback up to 4K, execution of apps and IPTV streaming.
Remember that this type of Chinese Box is not recommended for viewing paid platforms such as Netflix, as it lacks certificates to view them in maximum video quality, although for the price it has we can not ask too much.
TANIX W2 Specifications
The heart of the TV Box is the 12nm Amlogic S905W2 SoC, a Quad Core processor with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and a MALI-G3 MP2 GPU. In terms of wireless connectivity inside the TANIX W2 Wifi aC Dual Band with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. In the connectors section, this Smart Box includes a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0b video connector, SPDIF digital audio output, 10/100 network connector and finally an analogue audio and video output port.
Also included among the accessories is a simple IR remote control, power supply and all the cables needed to get it up and running right out of the box. On the front of the plastic box there is a small LED display.
