The well-known Chinese brand TCL continues to renew its catalogue of smartphones and now has just launched its new TCL 605, a 6.7-inch budget range.
A terminal with a fairly traditional design, IP54 certification, so it is protected against the entry of dust particles and against splashing water, has a weight of 190 grams. The processor chosen for this TCL is the Octa Core MediaTek Helio G81, the same that carries the popular POCO C75, a chip that has a score in Antutu v10 that is around 250,00 points, enough to move apps of all kinds and games without great requirements.
Of the rest of its configuration highlight that, despite its price and brand, it already includes 8 GB of RAM, NFC for payments from the mobile and 256 GB of storage. Finally, the operating system is Android 15 and is expected to have some updates from the brand.
TCL 605 Specifications
This new budget smartphone is powered by a MediaTek G81 SoC, manufactured in 12nm. This is an Octa Core chip with 4 Arm Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz and 6 Arm Cortex-A55 that reach a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz. The iGPU integrated in this SoC is an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 with a maximum frequency of 950 Hz.
As for RAM we have options to buy it with 8 GB and for storage we have 256 GB conversions, with option to expand it up to 2 TB with the micro SD card reader.
Display and other features
The screen of this new cheap terminal from TCL is a 6.7-inch IPS with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, 480 nits of maximum brightness and screen refresh that reaches 90 Hz. As for cameras we have a 5 MP front with two microphones and on the back we find a circular module, with the main 50 MP, another auxiliary lens and a flash.
We also have Wifi aC and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity, NFC, GPS and 4G modem with Dual SIM. The battery has a capacity of 5200 mAh that includes fast charging up to 18 W. In the body 2 speakers are integrated and in the power button we have integrated fingerprint reader. In terms of connectivity we have a USB-C 2.0 connector and a 3.5 mm audio jack in case we want to connect headphones.
