The new TCL Tab 8 NXTPAPER 5G, a tablet of small size thanks to its 8.7-inch screen and that stands out for having 5G connectivity, has been presented.
As usual in this brand we have the NXTPAPER 4.0 technology that emphasizes eye protection and the NXTPAPER Key with which we can quickly switch to a mode that simulates electronic ink. As engine, we find an Octa Core MediaTek MT8755 processor, a chip specifically designed for tablets and that we had not seen so far.
The operating system is Android 15 and the rest of its configuration nothing to highlight, since apart from the 5G connectivity the rest of its specifications pull towards the low end, such as its screen.

Inside this handy tablet we have as processor an Octa Core SoC . In this integrated we have 2 ARM Cortex-A76 processors 6 ARM Cortex-A55 processors capable of reaching 2.0 Mhz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
A tablet that comes with 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4 and 64 GB storage memory although luckily we see a micro SD card reader capable of handling drives up to 2 TB.
Display and other features
The TCL Tab 8 NXTPAPER 5G features an 8.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels and a refresh rate that reaches 60Hz.
The front camera is 5 MP and on the back we have another 8 MP camera with a small LED flash while in the audio section we have 2 speakers. We also find a, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB Type-C 2.0 port, Wi-Fi 5 wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, 5G modem and 6600 mAh battery with 15 W PD fast charging. For audio we have two speakers with Smart-Pa amplifier and two microphones.
Price and availability
- The new TCL Tab 8 NXTPAPER 5G tablet is currently only available in the U.S., but we expect it to be released internationally soon.
