The new TCL TAB A1 Plus tablet, a mid-range model from this well-known brand, has just been unveiled internationally at MWC Barcelona 2026.
Its attractive metal body features a full 12.2-inch high-resolution display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, and compatibility with the new T-Pen 2 stylus. Its processor is an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a very interesting chip, as it is manufactured in 4 nm, which gives it great energy efficiency. To give you an idea of the power of this new Qualcomm SoC, it scores around 500,000 points in Antutu v11.
The operating system is Android 16, with updates guaranteed up to Android 17 and security updates until November 2028.

TCL TAB A1 Plus specifications
Inside this TCL we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Octa Core SoC manufactured in 4nm. It includes two clusters, the most powerful with 2 ARM Cortex-A78 processors reaching 2.2 GHz and the most efficient with 6 ARM Cortex-A55 processors reaching 2.0 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 615 with a maximum speed of 955 MHz.
This tablet comes with 6 GB of RAM soldered onto the board. For storage, we have 128 GB, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB thanks to the included micro SD card reader.
Screen and other notable features
The screen of the new TCL TAB A1 Plus is a 12.2-inch IPS with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 3:5 screen ratio, and 550 nits brightness. In terms of cameras, there is a 5 MP front camera with two microphones and an 8 MP rear camera. It also has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity, as well as a light sensor, gyroscope, and gravity sensor.
Its battery has a capacity of 8000 mAh with fast charging up to 20 W. Four speakers are integrated into the body, and for connectivity, there is a single USB Type-C port.
