The new TCL TAB A1 tablet has been unveiled as a product that stands out for its 11-inch 2K display and comes with a configuration that allows it to be used as a multimedia hub.
This tablet aims to compete in the entry-level market with the MediaTek Helio G100 processor, a minor evolution of the popular MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which will allow it to run Android 16 and most apps smoothly as long as we don’t ask too much of it. The hardware is sufficient for everyday home use, provided you don’t plan to play the most demanding games on Google Play.
Without a doubt, the biggest draw is its 11-inch 2K display, which makes reading any website a comfortable experience. It also works perfectly for consuming multimedia content thanks to its four speakers.
TCL TAB A1, 11-inch tablet
The TCL TAB A1 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, an octa-core processor manufactured on a 6-nm process by TSMC. Inside, there are two clusters: the more powerful one, with two ARM Cortex-A76 processors clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, and the more efficient one, with six ARM Cortex-A55 processors clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The iGPU is an Arm Mali-G57 MC2.
The RAM is soldered onto the board and consists of 6 GB of LPDDR4X, and for storage, there is a single configuration with 128 GB of high-speed UFS 2.1, expandable via microSD card up to 2 TB.
Display, Battery Life, and Connectivity
The display is an 11-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2112×1320 pixels, a brightness of up to 500 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. For photography, it features an 8 MP front-facing camera and a 16 MP rear camera with an LED flash. It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, GPS, and a 4G-LTE modem with a dual SIM slot.
This tablet features four built-in speakers on the sides. Its dimensions are 251.28 x 163.2 x 6.2 mm, and it weighs 430 grams. It features a USB-C 2.0 port. The battery has a capacity of 8,000 mAh and supports 20 W PD charging.
