Today we find a new fanless mini PC called Topton X2C a device in principle focused on industrial use given the design of its case and performance, but can also be used in our home.
A mini PC has a metal case that offers a completely passive cooling system, this means 0 noise. In addition, thanks to the inclusion of the Pentium Silver N6005 processor manufactured in 10 nm we have a TDP of only 10 W. A processor that has to improve substantially to its previous versions and offers enough power for office work, navigation or multimedia playback up to 4K@60 fps resolutions through its HDMI ports.
Topton X2C specifications
This new passive mini PC Topton X2C integrates as engine an Intel Pentium Silver N6005 processor of the Jasper Lake family, manufactured in 10 nm that we cannot change, it comes soldered on the motherboard under the heatsink. This processor is a Quad Core with 4 threads with cores that reach a maximum speed of 3.3 Ghz. The GPU of this chip is an Intel UHD GPU where we have 32 execution units at a top speed of 900Mhz, enough for office, multimedia and basic games.
This small computer has versions with 4/8/16 GB of RAM, in two slots for SO-DIMM DDR4 modules up to 2933 MHz. For storage we have space for two M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD disks of capacity 128/256/512 GB and we have another M.2 slot for Wifi.
In this mini PC we have wireless connectivity with an M.2 adapter to connect a Wifi+BT module. On the perimeter of the case we find with one USB-C port (video output), two 3.0 and two 2.0, SD card reader, four 2.5GB Intel i226-V network ports, one HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.4 both with support for 4K@60 HDR video output.
This mini PC is compatible with Windows 11 and Linux and includes an external power supply. Optional VESA support is available, as well as PXE and WOL remote power among other options.
