It seems that Rockchip is working hard with Android and more faster we have TV-Box models with the latest version of this OS, in this case we echo the device called T9 that has quite normal specifications in its price range but that includes Android 8.1 as operating system, let’s see what it brings us next.
SoC, RAM and storage
The T9 model features the extended Rockchip RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. It has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader. A SoC that defends itself perfectly as a multimedia player and with KODI but with a GPU that is a bit fair for next-generation games in maximum detail, for example, it can not with PUBG.
The wireless connectivity of this TV-Box is more basic since it has WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. In the box with front display for the time we find a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 Ethernet connector, analog AV jack, microSD card reader and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows to take 4K@60fps. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable.
