Again we locate another TV-Box of entry range that includes Android TV as OS, through our daily walk through Chinese stores. This time the equipment in question is called ATV-IIW and as usual it includes the SoC Quad Core of Amlogic S905W. This is the typical Chinese team in a quadrangular plastic box of unknown brand that is loaded with pirated software and surely we will not see any update for this device. Also note that among the options of purchase we can even choose a pair of versions with remote control with microphone with which we can theoretically use the voice search of Android TV.
SoC, RAM and storage
The ATV-IIW is a basic TV-Box that includes a Quad Core AMlogic S905W SoC with quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 64 bit CPU capable of reaching up to 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of decoding video from up to 4K@30fps resolutions. Integrated into the board we find 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded thanks to the microSD slot found on one side.
Connectivity and other features
At the wireless level, it includes only WiFi b/g/n with internal antenna. In terms of connectivity we find two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0a, 10/100 network port and an analog jack connector for audio and video.
The operating system is Android TV based on Android 7.1.2 with which we can use Google Assistant to launch voice searches.
