New Box with the low-end SoC Rockchip RK3528 that we found on AliExpress, this time under the name of TV98 and that does not present any remarkable novelty.
The installed system is Android 13 and we see that it includes a remote control with voice functions and direct access keys to Prime Video and Netflix. Although it has these keys, we will not have these apps in HD quality, much less 4K, since this Chinese box does not have any certificate.
Another option of Chinese Box with the SoC RK3528 that can serve as a multimedia player, and to run apps that do not have a lot of workload. If we are interested in something of higher quality and with certificates, we recommend investing in other devices.
TV98 Specifications
The TV98 smart Box includes as its heart the new low-priced Rockchip RK3528 SoC. This chip is a Quad Core with low-power ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a modest ARM MALI-450 MP2 GPU of which we do not know its clock speed.
For RAM we have versions with 2/4 GB DDR3 and for storage others with the usual 16/64GB ofeMMc memory. We also have a micro SD card reader so we can always expand the storage memory with up to 64 GB extra.
Other notable features
In the field of wireless connectivity we have wifi 5 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.0. As connectors we find in its small quadrangular plastic box a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, 10/100 network connector, 3.5 mm jack for audio and analog video output and an HDMI 2.1 video output port that allows us to output video up to 8K@25fps resolutions.
A remote control, power supply and HDMI cable are included in the TV-Box TV98 package so that you can start using this box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to your TV.
