TX3 MINI a Box that is updated with Android 11 and SoC S905W2

New version of the incombustible Chinese TV-Box TX3 MINI that this time receives the recent SoC AMlogic S905W2 a very interesting chip as you can see in our analysis of this SoC.

The TX3 Mini is a box aimed at multimedia playback, but it is not recommended as a streaming player for payment platforms, since it lacks certificates to view them in maximum quality. It stands out for its ability to decode video with the AV1 codec up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions and with HDR 10+. The operating system is Android 11, so we are up-to-date in this regard and that guarantees us a lot of useful life for this device.

SoC, RAM and storage

In the new version of the TV Box TX3 MINI we find as the heart the new Amlogic S905W2 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and a MALI-G3 MP2 GPU, a sufficient configuration to use streaming apps, KODI and some simple games.

In this model we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of eMMc storage memory and a micro SD card reader located on one side of the black plastic box that allows us to increase its internal storage capacity.

Other features

As for wireless connectivity within the TX3 MINI we have Dual Band Wifi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.1. In the connectors section, this Smart Box includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1 port, SPDIF audio output, micro SD reader, 10/100 network connector and finally an analogue port for audio and video.

This Box also includes an infrared remote control, power supply and all the necessary cables to start it right out of the box.
