We can already buy in online stores another Android Box with the recent Quad core Amlogic S905X5M processor, the new Ugoos X5M Pro.
The most interesting point of this new Ugoos TV-Box is the inclusion of the Quad Core Amlogic S905X5M SoC manufactured in 6 nm, although we also have a good network connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and a RJ45 Gigabit. A box that will have a similar performance to the Xiaomi TV Box 3rd Gen although in this case we do NOT have any kind of certificate to be able to watch paid streaming apps in high video quality, so it is not recommended if we are going to use it with Netflix and the like.
The operating system is Android 14 in modified tablet version with many extra settings for audio, video, network, and Superuser function as we are used to this brand. A different TV-Box but at a rather high price.
Specifications of the Ugoos X5M Pro
In this new Android Box we find in the Amlogic S905X5M processor, manufactured in 6 nm. It integrates ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a power of 30K DMIPS and a new ARM Mali-G310 V2 iGPU. We also have support for native decoding of H.265, AVS2, VP9 and AV1 codecs with resolutions up to 4K@75fps 10 bit, compatible with HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision technologies.
We have a single version of this Box with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage. If we want to expand the memory, we can use the microSD card reader that we have on the side of the box.

In the wireless connectivity section, the Ugoos X5M Pro includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity The connectors included in the plastic box are a USB-C port for power, a USB 2.0, a USB 3.0, Gigabit network port, SPDIF digital audio output and a HDMI 2.1b video output with 4K@75 resolution.
As usual, a power supply and a Bluetooth remote control is included, which has a microphone for giving commands with Google Assistant, airmouse function and an infrared sensor with various programmable keys.
