UncoreX is an Android TV-Box model that comes to us from Germany with integrated DVB-S / S2 satellite receiver and that has a lot of custom software integrated. A device with OTA updates by the brand and its own website to support their customers. At the software level, highlights the specific application to reorder the channels that we have available and the possibility of downloading the channel list for our satellite directly from the company website.
In terms of hardware in the UncoreX we find the Amlogic S905D SoC, a Quad Core that was specially designed to be integrated in equipment with satellite tuners, has a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of natively reproducing 4K resolutions with support for HDR10 and HLG video . Inside we found integrated 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 8 GB of eMMc storage memory, Bluetooth 4.0 and b/g/n wifi dual band. As an operating system we have Android 6.0 which, as far as we can see, is quite personalized and has multiple options apart from the basic settings.
Regarding connectivity in the front we have a USB 2.0 port easily accessible, in the back we have another USB 2.0 port, microSD card reader that allows to expand the internal storage, Ethernet 10/100 connector, HDMI 2.0 port with support 4K@60fps and the connector for the DVB-S2 tuner. The remote control included by default works with IR system although there is another optional with gyroscope to control the pointer remotely.
