The war for 5G promises to be tough and small companies like Unisoc begin to position themselves to take their piece of cake. This Chinese company has just presented its new Tiger T7520 SoC, a chip that bets strong as it will be manufactured in 6nm EUV by TSMC, with all the improvements in consumption and performance that this technology brings against the process in 7nm. Naturally, this new SoC will feature a new NPU that will also be used for energy management and a 5G NR TDD + FDD modem developed with its own technology.
Specifications
The Unisoc Tiger T7520 has a pair of clusters, the first high-performance with 4 ARM Cortex-A75 processors, while the second includes 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors. The GPU will be an ARM MALI-G57mp4 and will allow displays with 120Hz refresh in Full HD + resolutions and 60Mhz in 4K resolutions.
It will also support LPDDR4x RAM, storage type UFS 2.1 / eMMc 5.1 and sensors up to 108MP. It will also integrate GPS, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio and a 5G modem with speeds of 3.25Gbps / 1.25Gbps.
