Many of the mini PCs we buy, and they do not have to be low-cost, integrate on board or have an M.2 adapter with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that in many cases can cause us problems due to its low quality.
Many of these difficulties make Bluetooth connectivity unstable, with random micro disconnections, or prevent us from connecting more than 2 or 3 devices. Solving these issues can be relatively easy and cheap, about 5 €, by adding a Bluetooth 6.0 USB adapter. These adapters are plug & play and do not require the installation of additional drivers, if we connect them to a mini PC just think about disabling our old Bluetooth adapter from the device manager / Bluetooth. In this way we will avoid unnecessary conflicts, and we will have the Bluetooth 6.0 adapter active with all its benefits.
To make sure that we have been sent a USB BT 6.0 adapter we have to go to the device manager / Bluetooth adapter advanced options in the section Firmware version: LMP we must have a value of 14.5 which corresponds to the Bluetooth 6.0 version (LMP 13.x corresponds to Bluetooth 5.4, LMP 12.x Bluetooth 5.3, LMP 10.x Bluetooth 5.1, LMP 9.x Bluetooth 5.0…)
Of course, the Bluetooth 6.0 standard is compatible with Bluetooth 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 5.3 and 5.4 specifications, so we will have no issue pairing any device, no matter how old it may be.
