Good news, as we see that in recent weeks some Chinese miniPCs that include AMD Ryzen 5 APUs are being seen, an alternative that surpasses Intel’s solutions in many aspects.
Today we find a miniPC, although with a larger than usual format, called VIEWNOTE that includes an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G APU as the heart, with Zen + CPU cores and a 12nm FinFET manufacturing process. Along with the 8GB of RAM that we have on board with this APU we can even move next-generation games in 1080P resolutions and reproduce streaming services in 4K HDR quality without problems. Processor, RAM and storage
The miniPC VIEWNOTE includes an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G APU with 4 cores / 8 threads capable of reaching 4.2Ghz and a Vega 11 GPU. It includes 8GB of Dual Channel LPDDR4 RAM in its two SO-DIMM Slots and for storage we have options purchase with a M.2 SSD of 128/256 / 512GB capacity although we see that we have two SATA3 ports on the upper side of the motherboard. Inside the small box we have a fan that takes care of keeping temperatures at bay.
Other specs
As for connectivity we have a Dual Band WiFi adapter with two connectors for external antennas and bluetooth 4.0 thanks to an internal module that we can replace with a better one. At the connectivity level we find 4 USB 3.0 ports, a pair of 3.5mm audio ports, Gigabit Ethernet connector, COM port and an HDMI 2.0 video output that allows video resolutions of up to 4K @ 60fps.
