The ViVo S50 Pro mini, a new compact smartphone that despite its size has high-end specifications, has just been launched in China.
This new ViVo comes with an elegant body made of CNC aluminum with IP69 protection with a size of only 150.83 x 71.76 x 7.99 mm and a weight of 192 grams, really contained figures today. Its AMOLED screen is a 6.31″ that reaches 120 HZ and at the photographic level is well equipped with 3 cameras of 50 MP, one of them with Zoom functions.
As an engine in this small terminal we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor that being manufactured in 3 nm will provide us with high energy efficiency and plenty of power when we need it. Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 layer.

The Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor manufactured in 3nm is responsible for moving this new terminal. Inside this chip we find a configuration of 2 clusters, the fastest with 2 Prime Cores that reach 3.8 Ghz and a second with 6 Performance Cores that reach 3.32 Ghz. The GPU is an Adreno 829.
The RAM memory has options with 12/16 GB LPDDR5X Ultra although we can expand it virtually as usual. For storage, we have versions with 256/512 GB UFS 4.1 high speed, it does not have micro SD.
Display and other features
Its display is an AMOLED with 6.31-inch size, 2640 x 1216 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh, brightness of up to 5000 Nits, and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
For selfies we have on the front a 50 MP camera, while on the back we have a 50 MP OIS main sensor, a 50 MP OIS x6 telephoto lens and an 8 MP wide-angle. We also find a fingerprint reader under the screen, infrared sensor, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and GPS among others.
As for connection interfaces, in this new phone we have at our disposal a USB-C port for data and recharging. The battery is 6500 mAh with fast charging 90 W, wireless 40 W and for audio we have two symmetrical speakers and three microphones.
Availability and price
- The new ViVo S50 Pro mini is currently available only in China for about 450 € at the exchange rate, although it will probably also be available on AliExpress.
