Vivo V50, a high-end device armed with 3 ZEISS 50 MP cameras

Just presented for India the new Vivo V50 a terminal that shines in the photographic section, as it arrives with 3 cameras of 50 MP signed by the prestigious brand ZEISS and also leaves its mark on the software.

Cameras and specific photographic tools apart, this terminal stands out in many aspects such as its good battery of 6000 mAh with fast charging of 80 W and a body with water and dust resistance with IP69 certification.

Inside we find a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor capable of moving apps and games without problems and that as a reference has a score of around 822,000 points in Antutu V10. Its operating system is Android 15, upgradable to Android 18, with the customized Funtouch OS 15 layer. Its screen is of a high level, as we have an AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh and a brightness capable of reaching no less than 4,500 nits.

The SoC chosen in this new ViVo terminal is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7550-AB), an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm. This is a chip with 1 Arm Cortex-A715 processors that reach 2.63 Ghz, 3 Arm Cortex-A715 that reach 2.4 Ghz and 4 ARM Cortex-A510 that reach up to 1.8 GHz. In the graphics section we have integrated GPU ADRENO 720 and that allows us to play demanding titles with total fluidity.

The on-board RAM memory is 8/12 GB LPDDR4X, which allows us to load multiple apps or browsing tabs. For storage we have options with 128/256/512 GB UFS 2.2.

Display and other features

The screen of the Vivo V50 is a 6.7″ AMOLED , with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels with HDR10 support, maximum brightness of 4500 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In the photographic section we have a ZEISS main rear camera with 50 MP OIS supported by a 50 MP wide angle also from this manufacturer, while in the front area we have a 50 MP ZEISS camera. The rear flash is a Quad LED with dual colour temperature and capable of generating fill light.

For audio, we find two speakers and the battery is 6000 mAh with fast charging 90 W and reverse 10 W. For connectivity we have Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and a 4G/5G modem with Dual SIM. As interfaces, we find a single USB-C port while in this case the fingerprint reader to unlock the smartphone is integrated into the screen.

Availability in stores

  • The new Vivo V50 can currently only be purchased in India for a price of around 390 € at the exchange rate.
  • As always it will soon be available on AliExpress through resellers, although it is better to wait for a version adapted to the Western market with NFC and support for e-SIM.
