ViVo continues to expand its range of terminals and has recently added the VIVO Y200+, a mid-range budget terminal that already includes 5G connectivity.
As we are seeing lately, this new ViVo comes with a body reinforced against falls and enjoys IP64 certification, so it is made dustproof and splash waterproof. It also stands out for its 6000 mAh battery with fast charging of 44 W and its screen, which can be used with wet fingers, something that many Chinese smartphones already have as standard.
Its SoC is an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 that being manufactured in 4 nm will provide high energy efficiency. Finally, the operating system is Android 14 with the layer of this brand, OriginOS 14, an interesting terminal, but probably will not reach the West.
Specifications of the VIVO Y200+
The SoC of this new VIVO is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (SM4450), an Octa Core manufactured in 4nm by Smasung. Inside, we have two clusters, the most powerful with 2 ARM Cortex-A78 processors that reach 2.2 Ghz and the most efficient with 6 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach 1.95 Ghz. The GPU is an Adreno 613 that reaches 955 MHz.
The RAM memory has options with 8/12 GB LPDDR4X, although we can expand it virtually as usual. For storage we have versions with 128/256 GB UFS 2.2 that we can expand via micro SD slot up to 2 TB
Display and other features
Its display is a 6.68-inch IPS with an HD resolution of 1608 x 720 pixels, 120 Hz refresh, 1500:1 contrast, maximum brightness of 100 Nits, 20.06:9 aspect ratio and includes light and proximity sensors.
For selfies we have a 5 MP camera on the front that complements the 50 MP rear camera, which is aided by a secondary 2 MP camera. We also have a fingerprint reader on one side, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Dual Band Wi-Fi aC, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5 in 1 GPS for precise geographic positioning anywhere
As for connection interfaces, in this new phone we find a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port for data and recharging. The battery is 6000 mAh with 44 W fast charging and for audio we have two speakers.
Price and where to buy
- The new VIVO Y200+ can currently only be purchased in China for a price of around $150 in its cheapest version, although it is possible that we will soon see it in stores like AliExpress.
