The new Vivo Y21 5G has just been unveiled for its international launch. It’s an affordable phone, but it comes with a highly durable build, perfect if you’re a bit of a klutz.
This smartphone, as we mentioned, features an almost ruggedized body, with IP65 water and dust resistance certifications. Inside, it features a robust 6500 mAh battery that ensures solid battery life and supports 44W fast charging. Powering the device is the popular MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which delivers solid performance and replaces and outperforms the Dimensity 6100.
The brand’s UI is OriginOS 6, and the operating system is Android 16, which already includes the typical AI-powered features.

The RAM is 6 GB of LPDDR4x, though it can be expanded virtually, as is standard. For storage, options include 128 GB of UFS 2.2, which can be expanded via a microSD slot up to 2 TB.
Display and other notable features
Its display features a 6.75-inch IPS panel with an HD resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness of up to 1200 nits.
For selfies, there’s a 5 MP front-facing camera that complements the 50 MP rear camera, which is supported by a 0.8 MP secondary camera and an LED flash. It also features an in-display fingerprint reader, 5G/4G connectivity with dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, FM radio, NFC, and 5-in-1 GPS.
As for connectivity ports, this new phone features a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port for data transfer and charging and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The battery is 6500 mAh with 44W fast charging, and for audio, there is a single speaker.
