Today we find on AliExpress the simple Android TV-Stick VONTAR DQ05. A system that mounts the popular SoC Rockchip RK3528 for the low end of mediaplayers.
A small stick is designed to connect directly to an HDMI port of our TV. It has Android TV 13 system, wireless connectivity Wifi 6 with Bluetooth 5.0. Thanks to the SoC RK3528 it can serve us without complications to play multimedia in 4K resolutions, also to run apps, basic games and something else. As always, its small format limits the number of connectors we have, something to keep in mind depending on the use we intend to give it.
TV-Sticks like the VONTAR DQ05 do not have DRM certificates to watch video on paid streaming platforms in high resolution (although the logos appear), there are better options for this.
VONTAR DQ05 Specifications
The new VONTAR DQ05 is powered by a Rockchip RK3528 processor. This chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors reaching up to 2.0 Ghz. It also integrates an ARM MALI-450 MP2 GPU of which we do not know its clock speed, but it is low-end nowadays.
For RAM we have versions with 2/4 GB DDR3 and for storage we find 16/32 GB. This time we have a micro SD card reader to expand the storage memory with up to 256 GB extra.
Other notable features
In the wireless connectivity section we have Wifi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.0, something quite worthy. As connectors we find in its small plastic body a USB-A 3.0 port and an HDMI 2.0b video output port that allows us to output video in resolutions up to 4K@60fps . There is another USB Type-C port, but it is for the power supply.
Included with the VONTAR DQ05 Box is a Bluetooth remote control with microphone for voice assistant commands and various hotkeys. We also find in the box a USC-C – USB-A cable for direct power supply to our TV and an HDMI cable to be able to start using this Box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to our TV.
