New generic Smart Box that we find in the great bazaar of Aliexpress equipped with the recent Amlogic S905X3 Quad Core SoC under the name of VONTAR X3. A TV-Box that basically draws attention for its external design, for its decoration and design since at the hardware level it does not stand out with respect to those of its price range. Fortunately it comes with 4GB of RAM that seems to be becoming the norm for the last boxes we see, something that guarantees us fluidity when it comes to moving heavy apps that need a lot of RAM.
SoC, RAM and storage
The VONTAR X3 Smart TV Box includes the new AMlogic S905X3 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 12nm, which reaches up to 1.9 GHz speed and integrates a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, a SoC that you can see in detail in our detailed review. This SoC has 4 ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and also an NPU for iA. The VPU is an Amlogic Video Engine 10 with HDR Dolby Vision optional, HDR10 +, HDR10, HLG and PRIME HDR among others. This Box is available in versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32/64/128GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the included microSD card reader.
Other specifications
At the wireless connectivity level we find Wifi aC Dual Band and Bluetooth 4.1 for all available versions. The connectors included in the plastic box are the usual ones found in most boxes, a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, a 10/100 Ethernet connector, an analog AV interface and an HDMI 2.1 video output. The operating system is Android 9.0 and a basic IR remote control is included.
