We already have available in stores a version of the X2 Cube that we seen in a Review weeks ago, quite positive by the way. This version increases its RAM to 4GB and its storage memory to 32GB as a novelty. This new box is called X2 PRO and maintains the shapes of the original X2 Cube as well as the rest of its hardware and connectors. A much more interesting version than the original since it doubles its RAM for a few more money and certainly much more recommended.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV-Box X2 PRO includes the Amlogic S905X2 SoC, a Quad Core chip with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that reach 1.8GHz and that integrates an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU rather more powerful than the Mali-450 and which It carries a TruLife Gen8 VPU for video playback. We have 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM memory and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the microSD card reader that includes this box on one of the sides of its plastic case.
Other specifications
The Mini Box X2 PRO includes a Wi-Fi Dual Band wireless connectivity level with a small external antenna. The connectors included in the plastic box are few, just a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, SPDIF digital audio port, a gigabit Ethernet connector and HDMI 2.0 video output.
The installed system is Android 9 Pie in its classic version and we have as standard among the accessories an IR remote control although optionally we can also acquire it with a command with voice functions and gyroscope.
