We found on AliExpress, an Android Box based on the Amlogic S905X4 Quad Core SoC called X4 ATV.
A Smart Box quite complete, with 4 GB of RAM output, Wi-Fi aC, Gigabit Ethernet, Android TV 11 as operating system and ability to decode the AV1 codec thanks to its AMlogic S905X4 processor. This is a Box suitable for use as a multimedia player, with KODI, CoreELEC or similar or to run games or emulators such as those we can use from EmuELEC. An Android Box little suitable for using paid streaming platforms, as it does not have certificates to display them in the best video quality, there are other alternatives for this.
The included remote control, at least, is a little better than what we usually find because it includes a microphone for use with Google Assistant and gyroscopes.
X4 ATV Specifications
The X4 ATV Smart Box includes the AMlogic S905X4 SoC manufactured in 12 nm. This chip is a Quad Core with low-power ARM Cortex-A55 processors reaching 2 GHz top speed and integrates a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. The VPU includes 4K@60fps, HDR, HDR10 and HLG support.
We have several versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. For storage, we have 32/64/128 GB eMMc and a micro SD card reader in case we want to expand the memory.
