X4 PRO new Android TV with the powerful Amlogic S905X4

After a long hiatus we found a new Box equipped with the recent Amlogic S905X4 SoC called X4 PRO and which, as usual in Chinese products, has a fairly contained price.

This Box does not attract attention due to its design that includes a small configurable LED strip in its upper front part that changes its colour effect depending on the use we give to the X4 PRO. The operating system is Android 10 and as you already know its powerful Amlogic S905x4 SoC is capable of natively playing video files encoded up to the recent AV1 and from which you can see our comparison against other current Chips.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart Box X4 PRO includes the AMlogic S905X4 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 12nm with low consumption ARM Cortex-A55 processors that theoretically reach 2 GHz speed and that integrates a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. The VPU of this Chip includes HDR, HDR10 and HLG support.

This Smart Box includes 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand thanks to the presence of a micro SD card reader.

Other specs

In the field of wireless connectivity, this Box integrates 2×2 Dual Band Wifi aC and Bluetooth 4.2 with internal antenna. The connectors included in the plastic box are a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, 2.5 mm audio jack, SPDIF digital audio output, 10/100 Ethernet and an HDMI 2.0 video output compatible with 4K UHD @ resolutions. 60fps.

As usual, HDMI cable, power supply and a basic IR remote control are included to be able to use this Smart Box from the first moment, although we have other options with different remote controls when buying it.
