X88 Max Plus a new Box with SoC RK3328, 4GB of RAM and reduced price

New version of the TV-Box X88 based on SoC RK3328, this time called X88 Max Plus. Under this new name we find a TV-Box with the same box as its predecessor but now includes 64GB of storage memory, the remote control no longer has a microphone and the price is significantly reduced as it stands at $53,99 in this launch offer. We also see how the base operating system is updated to Android 8.1.

SoC, RAM and storage

Entering the hardware in depth the TV Box X88 Max Plus has as central core the SoC RK3328, a Quad Core ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video up to resolutions 4K @ 60fps with HLG HDR. It also includes 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader. A SoC that goes quite well as a mediaplayer but with a GPU that is just right for games of last generation at the top of resolution.

Connectivity and other features

As for wireless connections this device has Dual Band WiFi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. On the perimeter of the plastic box a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0, a USB Type-C, 10/100 network connector, SPDIF output for digital audio and an HDMI 2.0a port for video.
