X88 MAX Plus and A5X MAX are the first two models of Android TV-Box to install the Android 9 Pie system, two devices that have an interesting configuration where its 4GB of RAM stand out, in other aspects ara very similar models to others already in the market, the difference is the OS. We hope to review one of them soon to see what Android 9 Pe offer to us.
SoC, RAM and storage
In these two TV-Box we found the Quad Core Rockchip RK3328 SoC with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K@60fps resolutions with HLG HDR support. A SoC that defends itself perfectly as a multimedia player and with KODI but with a GPU a bit fair for some 3D games of the latest generation. These two models mount 4GB of RAM and in the case of the X88 MAX Plus we have 64GB of storage while in the A5X Max we have 32GB, in both cases we can install many apps for a TV-Box.
Other specifications
At the level of connectivity the most outstanding is the X88 MAX Plus that has WiFi ac and a USB-Type C connector, the A5X Max model only has WiFi b/g/n, the two models have Bluetooth 4.0. On the sides of the two models we find the usual interfaces with a USB 3.0 port, several USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack, SPDIF audio port, SD card reader and an HDMI 2.0 port. The classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable are included among the accessories.
- NOTE: The model X88 MAX Plus is advertised as compatible with Netflix HD, something we doubt, Geekbuying is demanding the brand tests of this so for now better not to have this option, we will update with more information.
