X96 Plus another low-end mediaplayer with S905W SoC

The Quad Core of Amlogic S905W SoC seems to be working very well in the low-cost sector of TV-Box since we do not stop seeing it on multiple devices. Today we find the new X96 Plus a TV-Box that calls our attention only for his new box design because its hardware configuration has nothing remarkable with respect to other equipment that we have already seen, in short, another equipment that will pass with no glory in the market.

SoC, RAM and storage

The TV-Box X96 Plus is the central core of the Low Cost Amlogic S905W SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of decoding video up to resolutions 4K@30fps. It has a 1 GB RAM memory board and only a few 8 GB of eMMc storage memory, a very limited memory configuration, although we can expand it thanks to the microSD card reader included on one side.

Other specifications

At the level of connectivity we only have Wi-Fi/g/n with internal antenna and as connectors we have an HDMI 2.0 interface, a pair of USB 2.0 connectors, an analog A/V output, 10/100 network connector and SPDIF audio output

The operating system is Android 7.1.2 and highlight its metal box with a small LED screen.
